Clinical and Medical Nutrition

At Tru Health Medicine, our Doctors believe that nutrition is one of the cornerstones of health and that diet plays a large role in the support or hindrance of a person’s overall health and well being. Whether you are interested in learning how diet can help improve your energy and overall health or have questions about what type of diet is best for you, we love to teach patients new and exciting ways to nourish their bodies.

Nutritional imbalances are seen today as a result of modern agricultural techniques, stressful lifestyles, environmental pollution, or from an inability to appropriately digest and absorb the food we eat. At TRU HEALTH, we realize that sometimes eating the best quality foods is not always enough to give your body what it needs. Sometimes nutritional supplements are necessary, if only temporarily, to help optimize nutritional status. As Naturopathic Doctors we are trained to recognize vitamin and mineral deficiencies as well as the possible therapeutic indications for high doses of vitamins and minerals. When indicated, nutritional supplements are prescribed to treat functional and pathological disorders.

We maintain a medicinary in our clinic so that we can guarantee that our patients receive the highest quality supplements. We make every effort to carry products that are third-party certified for quality, safety and stated ingredients. We are also happy to assist you in locating recommended items at other vendors in the greater Santa Rosa area or online.
